Accrorap werd in 1989 in Saint-Priest – vlakbij Lyon – opgericht. Kader Attou, choreograaf en nu directeur van Centre Choréographique National of La Rochelle, was één van grondleggers. Van de wilde verzameling kunstenaars die Accrorap in het begin was, groeide de groep uit tot het unieke choreografische collectief dat het nu is. Kader Attou verrijkte en verfijnde de hip hop van Accrorap door die te vermengen met circus, hedendaagse dans en beeldende kunst. Accrorap is al jaren overal ter wereld te zien op internationale podia.

Of the wild collection of artists that Accrorap was in the beginning, the group grew into the unique choreographic collective that it is today. Frame Attou enriched and refined the hip hop of Accrorap by mixing it with circus, contemporary dance and visual arts. Accrorap has been shown all over the world on international stages for years.
