In Traptown, the choreographer and storyteller Wim Vandekeybus takes the viewer to a parallel universe, stripped of time and space. Conflicts of the past flared up and inexplicable natural disasters dominated the relationships between the Odinese and the Mythricians. Conflict and turmoil ferment and bubble and change and emancipation seem to be within reach. But not without a fight. Vandekeybus uses dance, film, text and music for TrapTown to create a new mythology. Pieter De Buysser wrote the text. The soundtrack of Trixie Whitley and Phoenician Drive propels an avalanche of images for almost two hours.
